"Hard folk." "The greatest band you've never heard of." "If Martha Stewart had a favorite band, these homey harmony-weavers might be it." These are just some of the descriptors applied to Northern Virginia's finest folk-rock group, Eddie From Ohio. The quartet, kicking musical butt since 1991, continues to tour nationwide. In addition to putting on excellent live shows, the band is an outstanding example of the growing indie or DIY movement: all 9 (to date) albums are self-produced on their own label.

FAQ: No, they're not actually from Ohio. Eddie, the drummer, was nicknamed "Eddie From Ohio" by a college friend. She was a fan of the group fIREHOSE, and coined Eddie's nickname by analogy with their lead singer, Ed "From Ohio" Crawford.
